The One Thousand Paper Cranes Project

There is an old Japanese folktale saying that the person who folds a thousand paper cranes will be granted a wish.

That story gave Bianca Roland an idea: what if a thousand people would fold a paper crane each, and then send it to her along with a dollar? That would make $1000 who'll make some charity's wish come true :)

If you're interested in finding out more you can see the project description page here. You can also click here to see the paper cranes sent so far.

8 Years Worth of Daily Pics :)

This guy took a photograph of himself each day since 1998 and turned it all into a movie.

A New Form Of Graffitti :)

My guess is that Ulrika Erdes thought the bus chairs and train chairs she ran across in her trips were too dull so she set to cheering them up :) How? By embroidering small patterns or words such as "hello" or "hug". And thus public embroidery was born.

For Those Who Love Surprises

They say life it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.
This saying is also true for FileSwap, a site for, you guessed it, swapping files :)
Here's how it works: you upload a file of your own and you'll get a random file in return :)

Go on, give it a try, aren't you curious? :)

I am not a huge fan of MSN Live but I think this is a very laudable initiative :)

Find Satoshi :)

Is it possible to locate a man given only his photograph and first name?

This puzzle is a part of the Alternate Reality Game (ARG) Perplex City. On July 31, 2006, players were presented with the following puzzle card, entitled "Billion To One":

We are each only five to seven people away from any target in the world. Someone, somewhere, knows Satoshi. Help spread the word and track down this person!
